<P><FONT SIZE=2>Wordmap Ltd, based in Bath UK, are currently seeking a Researcher/Senior Researcher who is interested in working on applications of Ontologies/Taxonomies in a dynamic advanced technology organization. </FONT></P>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Wordmap markets the leading enterprise strength taxonomy management system. A privately held UK Company, Wordmap has specialized in taxonomies from its inception in 1998. The design of Wordmap's products takes account of advanced techniques in computational linguistics as well as established methods in indexing and lexicography in addition to being designed for ease of use and scalability. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Our areas of current interest include:</FONT>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2> - the use, application, and development of ontologies/taxonomies</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Specific Requirements:</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Interested applicants should have an advanced degree in Information Retrieval, Computational Linguistics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), strong coding skills (in Java, Perl or C/C++), and a desire to see their ideas applied in product development. You will have excellent oral and written communications skills, and enjoy working in a team environment. Yow will also be able to adapt to theoretical perspectives other than your own.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Some European travel will be required.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>This position is for a renewable one-year contract</FONT>
