TC-STAR is a European integrated project focusing on Speech-to-Speech
Translation (SST).<br>
The project targets unconstrained conversational speech domains in three
languages: European English, European Spanish, and Mandarin
Chinese.<br><br>
The workshop intends to bring together researchers working on all aspects
of speech-to-speech translation and to compare TC-Star innovative
approaches to other on-going research projects. The workshop is
associated with an open evaluation campaign (for details see:
<a href="http://www.elda.org/tcstar-workshop/">
www.elda.org/tcstar-workshop</a>), whose results will be presented in
addition to regular papers.<br><br>
TOPICS OF INTEREST<br><br>
The workshop invites the submission of papers on original and unpublished
research on all aspects of speech-to-speech translation:
<ul>
<li>speech and language translation
<li>speech recognition
<li>speech synthesis
<li>evaluation and system aspects: performance measures, integration of
recognition and translation, combination of system outputs, ...
</ul><br>
Accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings. Further
