33 hours per week, temporary contract 1 June 2007 to 31 May 2008<br><br>
Working on an ESRC funded project, Trajectories of knowledge
production:<br>
English medium academic writing for national, transnational and<br>
international journals , you will assist with a range of research
support<br>
activities. A key task will be to build and analyse a corpus of
English<br>
medium academic journal articles. You will contribute to the research
team<br>
plans and activities including reports, publications and
conferences.<br><br>
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in an area of
language<br>
study, for example applied linguistics, literacy studies or English
for<br>
academic purposes. You will be familiar with, and have an interest
in,<br>
academic writing in a global context and corpus methodologies. You
will<br>
have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a
team.<br><br>
