in Natural Language Processing<br><br>RCEAL, University of Cambridge,
UK<br><br>Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research
Associate position <br>on the 'PANACEA' project, funded by the EC 7th
Framework Programme. This <br>project will design and implement novel
techniques for the acquisition <br>of language resources from corpora
and demonstrate their usefulness for <br>natural language processing
applications.<br><br>The Research Associate will be responsible for
developing models for <br>automatic acquisition of lexical information
from texts and applying <br>these models to construct large lexical
resources from corpora. The <br>position is suitable for a candidate
with a PhD in natural language <br>processing, computer science or a
related discipline. The successful <br>applicant will have strong
programming skills and experience with <br>natural language processing
techniques and machine learning. Previous <br>experience with parsing,
automatic lexical acquisition, and large-scale <br>data processing is
