<p><strong>Assistant Professorship in Statistical Natural Language Processing at the University of Amsterdam</strong></p>
<p>The Language and Computation group in the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam has a job opening for an Assistant Professorship in Statistical Natural Language Processing for 2 years, starting in fall 2010. The Language and Computation group is headed by Rens Bod (<a href="http://staff.science.uva.nl/~rens/">http://staff.science.uva.nl/~rens/</a>) and Khalil Sima'an (<a href="http://staff.science.uva.nl/~simaan/">http://staff.science.uva.nl/~simaan/</a>) and consists of six staff, seven postdoctoral researchers and a dozen of PhD students (<a href="http://www.illc.uva.nl/Research/research06b.php">http://www.illc.uva.nl/Research/research06b.php</a>).</p>
<p>The suitable candidate should have a proven research record and strong affinity (experience is a plus) with teaching at the Bachelor and Master levels.</p>
<p>Depending on qualifications and experience, the gross monthly salary will range from €3,195 to €4,394 based on a full-time appointment (38 hours a week). Additional benefits include an 8% holiday allowance and 8% end-of-year bonus.</p>
