<br>===========================================================<br><b>Research Associate in Natural Language Processing and Text Mining</b><br>The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong<br><br>Applications are invited for a Research Associate position with the MODEST project, funded by Hong Kong Innovation Technology Committee. This project will design and implement novel techniques for large scale text management and mining.<br>
The Research Associate will be responsible for two tasks: (1) developing models for automatic extraction of financial information from texts; (2) applying data mining algorithms on financial texts to discover financial knowledge from texts. The position is suitable for a candidate with a PhD degree in natural language processing, computer science or a related discipline. The successful applicant will have strong research experience and good programming skills with Chinese natural language processing techniques and machine learning. Previous experience with parsing, information extraction, and text mining is desirable.<br>
