A post-doc position and a research associate position are available at<br>Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar for two  3-year projects funded by Qatar<br>National Research Fund.  Applicants will work with Kemal Oflazer, Behrang<br>


Mohit at CMU-Qatar and Stephan Vogel at the CMU-Pittsburgh on the<br>following two projects:<br><br>1. "Learning from Comparable Corpora for Improved English-Arabic<br>Statistical Machine Translation". (Co-PIs: Stephan Vogel and Kemal Oflazer)<br>


<br>2. Expanding Arabic Wikipedia by Statistical Machine Translation. (PI:<br>Behrang Mohit)<br><br>The postdoc position requires a PhD degree in Computer Science or relevant<br>fields. The Research Associate position requires a Masters degree in Computer<br>


Science or relevant fields.<br><br>Both positions requires background and expertise in multilingual<br>processing. Expertise in Statistical Machine Translation is strongly desired.<br><br>The positions offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and background, foreign service allowance, excellent  health care coverage  and allowances for housing and transportation.<div>
