<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>first of all, my apologies for this message. I 

need to inform as many people as possible in the academic community about the 

inappropriate behavior of the Linguistics and Education journal, via the 

Elsevier dababase.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>These editors accepted my paper in 2007 with major 

revisions, which I made and returned in 2008. The paper was then left in the 

database for one year, completely unattended. As they had not returned any 

answers by 2009, I asked (probably five times or more) if it had finally been 

rejected. They produced no answer...ever, Not even a yes or no.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Now, four years later, they have withdrawn the 

paper without any comments or explanations.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Please I apologize for this message but I thought 

that you should know in advance, especially if you are considering to publish in 

the journal.</FONT></DIV>
