in the area of (applied) MT research, in particular working on industry-focused
research projects, and may be particularly attractive to those wishing to
broaden their experience and expertise beyond basic research to more
industrially-relevant applications.</font></p><font style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" size="2">
</font><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">The successful applicant will join the well-established,
highly-regarded and dynamic CNGL MT research team at Dublin City University
(DCU) and will have the benefit of interaction and collaboration with the wider
CNGL research teams, including the significant body of researchers working on
other aspects of Language Technology across the four partner universities (DCU,
Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, University of Limerick) at
the CNGL. </font></p><font style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" size="2">
</font><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">The successful applicant will be involved with the
specification, design, configuration and evaluation of system components of
DCU’s MATREX MT framework for use in pilot and contract research engagements
with commercial collaborators. The MATREX MT framework is built upon the
open-source Moses toolkit, so ideally applicants will have experience implementing
and developing Moses-based systems. He/She will have the opportunity to work on
both existing projects and to develop new projects.</font></p><font style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" size="2">
</font><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2"><br></font></p><p style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">This candidate must possess a PhD in multilingual language
technologies, preferably directly related to MT, with research and/or
industrial experience in MT desirable. The position is open to those coming
from both industry and academic backgrounds.</font></p><font style="font-family:trebuchet ms,sans-serif" size="2">
