<P><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB" lang=EN-GB><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>The Norwegian School of Economics is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of PhD Research Scholarships. These scholarships are available for the six specializations in the PhD programme at NHH; Accounting and Auditing, Economics, Professional and Intercultural Communication, Finance, Management Science, and Strategy and Management. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB" lang=EN-GB><FONT size=2 face=Arial>The programme is based on close cooperation with other national and international institutions offering similar programmes. The Department is a member of </FONT><A href="http://nafs.uib.no/"><FONT color=#0000ff size=2 face=Arial>The National Research School in Language Science and Philology </FONT></A><o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB" lang=EN-GB><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>Each scholarship is for a period of four years and combines taking a PhD programme at NHH with working as a research scholar. PhD research scholars are required to work as a teaching and/or research assistant for the department they are admitted to on enrolling in the PhD programme. The work requirement corresponds to 25 % of a full position a year, with the remaining 75 % being dedicated to the successful completion of a PhD.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB" lang=EN-GB><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>The annual salary for PhD research Scholars is set according to the Norwegian State Salary Scale: State Salary Scale 48, which is currently 391,100 NOK gross (approximately Euro 51,000 or about USD 67,000). The scholarships are subject to Norwegian taxes and benefits, including health care provision and membership of the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB" lang=EN-GB><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>Applicants must fulfil the admission requirements of the PhD programme. Qualified applicants with research proposals that fit best with the research interests of the department concerned will be prioritised. The prioritised research areas within Accounting and Auditing, Economics, Professional and Intercultural Communication, Finance, Management Science, and Strategy and Management are outlined in the programme information provided for each of the s<SPAN style="COLOR: #333300">ix </SPAN>specialisations. In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
