</ul></div></blockquote></div><div>There's mention of sabayon in the 1906 edition of Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management. The Times uses it back in 1975. So not quite as novel as all that. Plus anyone who watches the staple diet of cookery shows on TV will be familiar with the name and have been for decades.</div>
