<div dir="ltr">This discussion reminds me of the controversies over the word 'dhimmi' on the BBC blogs several years ago, which led to the BBC banning its use for a while. As with the current words under discussion here, 'dhimmi' is not in the OED or Macmillan dictionaries.<div>
