The <i>Centre for English Corpus Linguistics (CECL) </i>of the University

of Louvain, Belgium, has an <b>open salaried PhD position in learner

corpus research</b> (supervisors: Sylviane Granger & Gaëtanelle

Gilquin). <br><br>

The topic of the PhD is "Fluency and disfluency in English native

and learner speech". The PhD is part of a wider research project

conducted in close collaboration with three other research centres (for

The selected candidate will join a dynamic team of researchers with

wide-ranging expertise in learner corpus collection, annotation and

analysis.<br><br>

<b>Profile:<br><br>

</b>- Master in linguistics or modern languages with a major in English

linguistics (with honours)<br>

- Excellent knowledge of English; working knowledge of French is an

asset<br>

- Familiarity with corpus linguistic methods and tools<br>

- Dynamic and motivated<br>

- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team<br>

- Previous experience with the analysis of spoken language and/or

discourse features is an asset <br><br>

The salary consists of a 4-year PhD grant including social security (+/-

1500 € net/month).<br><br>
