<div>ECIR 2014 solicits proposals for tutorials of either half-day (3 hours plus </div>
<div>breaks) or full day (6 hours plus breaks) duration. The goal of the ECIR 2014 </div>
<div>Tutorials is to offer conference attendees and local participants a stimulating </div>
<div>and informative selection of tutorials reflecting current topics in information </div>
<div>retrieval and related areas. Proposals are welcomed on all topics of information </div>
<div>retrieval and its applications. Each tutorial should cover a single topic in </div>
<div>detail on state-of-the-art methods in core information retrieval, related </div>
<div>research or novel and emerging applications. For example, tutorials may cover an </div>
<div>established information retrieval topic in depth, introduce an emerging </div>
<div>application of information retrieval technologies, or update the information </div>
<div>retrieval community on recent advances in related fields. The tutorials will </div>
<div>take place on April 13th, 2014.</div>

<div>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES</div>

<div>Submissions should include a cover sheet and an extended abstract. The cover </div>
<div>sheet should specify: </div>
<div>1. the title and length of the tutorial; </div>
<div>2. the intended audience (introductory, intermediate, advanced) and </div>
<div> prerequisite knowledge or skills required, if any; </div>
<div>3. complete contact information for the contact person and other presenters; </div>
<div>4. a brief biography (max. 2 paragraphs) for each presenter. </div>

<div>The extended abstract should be 8 to 10 pages, and should include an outline of </div>
<div>the tutorial, along with descriptions of its topics, learning objectives, and </div>
<div>key citations to publications covered by the tutorial, as well as its relevance </div>
<div>to the information retrieval community and details of materials to be supplied </div>
<div>to attendees. </div>

<div>Tutorials must be written in English following LNCS author guidelines. Proposals</div>
