The Natural Language Processing group in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore has two openings for one post-doctoral researcher and one PhD student in the areas of ontology engineering and text mining, funded by Rolls-Royce@NTU
Corporate Laboratory.<br>
<br>
The positions involve applying scientific, technical and software engineering skills to conduct research on ontology learning, ontological annotation on informal text, and semantic indexing and search and the development of prototypes demonstrating the successful
application of the research.<br>
<br>
/Required Qualifications/<br>
<br>
For post-doctoral researcher: A Ph. D. in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with specialization in text mining and/or ontology engineering. Independent research experiences and experiences in developing and deploying text
mining and/or ontology engineering technology capabilities in an academic or industrial environment are expected.<br>
<br>
For PhD student: A Bachelor or Master degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Experiences in text mining and/or ontology engineering and good programming skills are a plus.<br>
