In order to start a broad-coverage corpus-based grammar of Portuguese, Linguateca has launched Gramateca,
http://www.linguateca.pt/Gramateca/

Everyone that deals with Portuguese is invited to join and work with us.

The only requirement for belonging to Gramateca is that all annotated and human-revised materials are made public, so that others can inspect them, modify them, and build upon them.

If you are interested in testing your hypotheses on large corpora, or in using those corpora to do exploratory work, or in participating in the design of the statistical and visualization machinery that we will be developing for Gramateca, don't hesitate and join at this early stage.
