<div dir="ltr">GATE is an open-source NLP framework and a set of free multi-lingual NLP components, including named entity recognition, information extraction, parsing, ontologies, semantic annotation, sentiment analysis, and evaluation. The software is used widely both by researchers and companies alike and has a large, active user community.<br>
<br>The 7th GATE training course will be held on 9-13 June 2014 at the University of Sheffield, UK. Early registration deadline is 30 April 2014. The focus in this year's course will be on mining social media content with GATE. The hands on exercises will be focused on analysing tweets, blogs, and other social media content.<br>
