<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:13px"><span style="font-family:Arial">We are looking for a researcher to strengthen the Language Intelligence and Information Retrieval group </span><span style="font-family:Arial">(<a href="http://www.cs.kuleuven.be/~liir" target="_blank">www.cs.kuleuven.be/~liir</a>) </span><span style="font-family:Arial">in the Computer Science department of KU Leuven (Human Computer Interaction section) who has a strong interest in processing medical texts. The position is foreseen for 12 months with the possibility of extension.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:13px"><font face="Arial">The candidate will work on a research project </font><span style="font-family:Arial">on natural language understanding </span><span style="font-family:Arial">(granted under the EU FP7 Future and Emerging Technologies call)  and more specifically the work relates to the automated understanding of patient guidelines.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:13px"><font face="Arial">The candidate is holder of a PhD or master degree, has experience in natural language processing and has excellent programming skills. The position will be filled as soon as possible and preferably September 1, 2014 the latest.</font></p>
