<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" lang="en-GB">The newly funded
Collaborative Research Centre “Information Density and Linguistic
Encoding” (SFB 1102; <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.sfb1102.uni-saarland.de/">http://www.sfb1102.uni-saarland.de/</a>)
investigates in how far variation in language can be explained by
taking an information-theoretic perspective on communication.<br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" lang="en-GB">The
research centre seeks an administrative coordinator (TV-L E13,
50%),
who will work at the interface between research and
administration.
Responsibilities include budgetary management and planning,
coordination of the SFB graduate school, interaction with support
staff, coordination of reporting activities, publicity both within
the scientific community and for general public, and serving as a
key
contact person for SFB staff (ca. 30 researchers, plus 15 PIs),
the
University, and the DFG. </p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm" lang="en-GB">Applicants will ideally
possess excellent communication skills in both English and German,
experience in coordination of large projects, and strong budgetary
and task management abilities. Solid computer skills relevant to
both
administrative tasks (Office software) and research infrastructure
(Unix, Latex, SVN, Web/Wiki maintenance) are also desired.
Candidates
must have a scientific degree (MSc or equivalent), and those with
a
PhD will be preferred. </p>
