Dear colleague

The Languages Faculty, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark is happy to announce the launch of a Summer University programme, June 25 – August 8, 2003. Two courses will run in parallel

Global English and Language Rights,
to be taught by Robert Phillipson and Tove Skutnabb-Kangas

Europe in Translation, Humans and Machines as Intercultural Problem-solvers,
to be taught by Arnt Lykke Jakobsen.

The courses are aimed at students at the MA or beginning PhD level.

We are hoping that you can make potential candidates aware of the existence of the courses. They can be taken singly or together. Full details of course content and of practicalities (dates, fees, residence, enrollment etc) are on the website at
<www.cbs.dk/intoff/summer/>.

Students from the Nordic countries, and from partner universities of CBS worldwide, are not obliged to pay fees for the Summer University. It is hoped that students from eastern and central European countries can be provided with financial assistance.

The Summer University is well established in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and attracts students from all over the world. We are hoping that the Languages Faculty will become an equally attractive venue for students from a variety of cultures who are keen to acquire further qualifications in the dynamic area of languages in the modern world.

Thank you for your help in publicising this initiative
and with good wishes
Arnt Lykke Jakobsen
