of the field for a new Professorship in the Department of 
Social
Sciences. Candidates will view media and communications 
within an
interdisciplinary social science framework. They should 
demonstrate
outstanding research qualities, and have an international 
reputation,
with a proven track record in research and publications of 
the very
highest standard of international excellence. The 
successful candidate
will provide leadership in this area of research within 
the department,
and help to develop new initiatives in teaching and 
research at both
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
