The Department of Sociology at Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Media.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to BA and MA degrees in Media and Cultural Studies in one of the world's leading sociology departments, supervise PhD students, develop high-level research and publications, and form collaborative research networks both within and beyond the University.  They will have expertise in one or more of: media industries, social media, media activism, political economy of media, global and transnational media, news or documentary media, media production or media theory
