Applications are invited from scholars of international distinction
for a Chair in German in the School of Languages and Social Sciences.
The successful applicant will be a leading academic specialising in
any area of German studies consistent with the School's research
profile. The main focus of academic programmes and research in German
at Aston lies in the interrelationship of language and culture in
contemporary society. You will be expected to contribute to a vibrant
research culture (RAE 5 in 2001), demonstrate leadership in research,
and have a proven record in high quality teaching at all
levels.</font><br>
