It is not my habit to make publicity for computer or internet programs
on this list, but I would like to make an exception today for the beta
of the new Google service SCHOLAR, now funtioning for a couple of days:<br>

If you need references, need to cite an article or book, want to know
what an author has written, or by whom he or she is cited, and many
more, just try this out. This should have been invented ages ago. It's
not perfect (one would want for instance to be able to find the e-mail
and/or university address of any scholar, etc...), but it works fine to
start with. This is more than a gadget -- it is an important research
tool, I think. <br>
