<DIV>A student of mine wants to, within CDA framework, analyse identity construction in Iranian offical highschool EFL textbooks and compare it to the type of identity constructed in Jack C. Richards' Interchange series which are commonly used in Iranian private English language institutes to see if the latter results in any identity crisis or not. But we don't know exactly how to apply CDA tools to texts for charactrizing the identity/identities the text buids. I would appreciate any suggestions or the introduction of similar studies.</DIV>
