The Centre for Language and Communication is seeking to appoint someone with a significant track record of research and teaching in English language/applied linguistics. We take a broad approach to this academic area, with research covering topics such as professional
and academic literacies, educational dialogue, globalisation, language and creativity, metaphor in discourse, and multimodal meaning-making. You will contribute to our research and teaching, and will provide strong academic leadership to a talented team of
academic staff.<br>
You should have an outstanding publications record, demonstrable ability to attract external research funding, evidence of research leadership and the ability to motivate and inspire others.<br>
