<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:5.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif";color:#2e373d" lang="EN-GB">We are currently looking for two PhD students in the field of Critical Discourse Studies working at the Department of Media and Communication, Örebro University. The Department is one of the world’s leading centres in Critical Discourse Studies located within the thriving research environment of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (HumES). In order to strengthen our research environment, the proposed projects should be empirically driven and offer new ways of understanding of the role of language and communication in contemporary society, politics, media and culture. They should be based on a detailed, critical-linguistic analysis of media and communication and be prepared to relate these to the dynamics of social contexts as sites of production and reception of discourse.   </span><span lang="EN-GB"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
