Bad writing

Wrt. Homi Babha winning second place in the bad writing contest (mentioned
in a previous Discours message), I read an interesting article today in
the Chicago Tribune about this 'honor'.  During an interview, Babha
reportedly tried to justify his writing style by saying that the difficult
subject matter forces him to write this way.  He says, "The complexities
of these issues become obscurities."
