SORRY FOR CROSS-POSTINGS....

CALL FOR PAPERS

Michelle Aldridge, June Luchjenbroers & Esther Pascual
are putting together a volume on cognitive linguistics
research dealing specifically with the conceptual
processes involved in processing discourse in legal
contexts, entitled: "Cognition in Court: Cognitive
Linguistic Approaches to Law and Litigation".

A preliminary book proposal has been accepted
for publication in the Mouton de Gruyter series

We are looking for additional contributions to
complement the current line up of expected submissions
from: June Luchjenbroers & Michelle Aldridge,
Juana I. Marín Arrese, Pamela Morgan, Nele Nivelle
& Geert Brône, Esther Pascual, and Steven L. Winter

So far the cognitive linguistics methodologies included
are conceptual blending, metaphor, conceptual frames,
viewpoint, fictive interaction, subjectivity and mental spaces,
but we are happy to consider additional cognitive
linguistics approaches to cognition, as it pertains to
the processing of language used in legal contexts.
