I should iterate that Pope's stuff is not straight CDA. It's
well-informed by Fairclough and others, but on the whole it's an eclectic
mix. If there was a way to categorize, I'd say this is a very
classroom-oriented synthesis that starts in Vygotsky, Bahktin and
Foucauld, and then ranges over a great deal of contemporary work in
critical language study and cultural studies.<br>
