<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Education and research in Communication Studies at the University </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">of Groningen focus on communication within the context of society </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">(institutions and media), which is studied from a discourse perspective. </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Within the educational program the discourse profile is realized in </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">three specializations within the MA program: Language, Culture, and</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Organization (organizational communication, intercultural communication),</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Language, Image, and Sound (multimodal communication, semiotics, critical</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">discourse analysis) and Computer-Mediated Communication (communication </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">with and by means of computers, computational models). </FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Extra academic staff is needed especially in the domains of Language, </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Culture, and Organization and Computer-Mediated Communication. </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">We are therefore looking for enthusiastic candidates who have an </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">outstanding academic reputation in the field of internal, external, or </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">intercultural organizational communication or in the field of digital </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">communication, such as websites, e-mail, computer-supported cooperative </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">work, and natural language dialog systems. For the associate-level (UHD)</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">appointment, a strong research program and grant procurement potential </FONT>
