Dear friends,

It is not my habit to use this, or any, list to recommend the services
of any person or organization, so this will be a - motivated -
exception to my rule:

David Hamel (California) is a software developer who wrote the
excellent text editor Boxer, a very rich and versatile but
low-cost program I use nearly every day to read and write text files
and programs, and much more. Perfect to use besides WORD to manage text
data (in plain ascii format).

He also wrote a personal program for me to handle searches in my vast
plain text bibliography of more than 500,000 titles, a program I use
daily to advise students and authors of the journals I edit.

If you need someone to write a tailor-made software program for your
research, e.g. in text or discourse analysis, or to test and improve
existing programs, I can strongly recommend him for excellent, reliable
and fast service.
