Dear EdLing colleagues,

You may be interested to know about a set of materials on grammar for
English teachers that I've put on my web site. The address is
http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/dick/tta/KS3.htm. It's very specifically
targeted at KS3 (= Year 7 through 9) teachers following the UK's national
curriculum, and to the extent that it addresses pedagogical issues it's
about writing rather than reading or speaking/listening.

While I'm at it, can I also mention another related site? For a year or so
I've been co-authoring, with Geoff Barton (a teacher), a weekly column for
the UK's paper for teachers, the Times Education Supplement. Those
published so far are available from www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/dick/TES.htm.
