Federation Rhetoric Symposium 2005
February 25, 2005 (Friday, 8-5 with reception to follow)
The Rhetoric Symposium is now accepting proposals for papers and panels
dealing with contemporary issues, which we define quite broadly to
incorporate a wide variety of research interests.

We welcome submissions from all areas including but not limited to: Rhetoric
and Composition, English, Journalism, Political Science, Education, History,
Film Studies, Media Studies, Art, Psychology, and Sociology.

The keynote speaker with be Dr. Jay Telotte of Georgia Tech University. His
research and teaching interests are film studies, especially science fiction
and technology. Dr. Telotte is the author of several important books and
articles related to science fiction and film, including Disney TV. The title
of his paper will be "Disney, Science Fiction, and the Rhetoric of Science."
*Deadline for Submission of 250-Word Abstract (electronic format preferred):

*Individual and Panel Proposals Welcome
*Notification of acceptance and conference registration materials will be
mailed electronically (by 1/10/05).
Cash prizes for outstanding papers will be awarded by Sigma Tau Delta.
