Subject: Student Motivation to Learn Arabic

The Title VI National Middle East Language Resource Center at Brigham Young
University (a consortium of more than twenty major universities) recently
conducted a preliminary survey of student career motivations for studying
Arabic.  For all students surveyed (grad and undergrad), around 40% indicate
their intent to work for government, whether they are at NRC or non-NRC
institutions.  The following link shows their findings:
