Critical Discourse Analysis has become an important and popular academic study
across subjects in social science, technology, education and health. In simple
terms, it attempts to describe, explain and scrutinize how different
communities, institutions and organizations operate in a social context in
terms of power, interaction, control, management, policy and communication.

You are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the conference.
Abstracts will be considered continuously so that prospective participants can
prepare their trips to the conference early in advance.

It is planned that when an abstract is received, the author will be advised of
the result by email one week later.

The abstract submission closing date is 1 October 2005. The abstract should be
in WORD format, please send it by email attachment to Dr. Claire Hiller,
Conference Program Director: Claire.Hiller at utas.edu.au

Address
Phone & fax numbers
Email
Title of paper
Abstract : approximately 300 – 400 words.
Any audiovisual equipment requirement (an overhead projector is available in
all rooms)

Apart from an overhead projector, if presenters would like other A/V equipment
(such as a laptop and/or data projector) they are advised to indicate so when
submitting abstracts.
