Although this is the same weekend as the ethnography forum, you may want to
divide your time between the events as the PLC is next door in Huntsman Hall.

Dear Colleagues:

The 29th Annual Penn Linguistics Colloquium will take place February 25-27 at
the University of Pennsylvania's Jon M. Huntsman Hall.

Keynote address:
Mark Baker (Rutgers University), on:
Gerund constructions within a universal theory of categories
(Title TBA)

The PLC 29 program includes sessions on syntax, semantics/pragmatics,
computational linguistics, morphology/syntax,
the syntax/semantics interface, phonetics/phonology, historical syntax

For the first time, this year's PLC will host a workshop by Anthony Kroch
and Beatrice Santorini. Its title will be:
"Syntactically Annotated Corpora: What, Why and How?"
