> Cultures. The Director will lead District efforts
> to create the infrastructure necessary for
> students to meet the UC "E" requirement (two years

> Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
> •Design and implement the District's World
> Languages and Cultures Plan.
> •Coordinate the design and delivery of world
> languages and cultures professional development
> for teachers, administrators, and staff.
> •Serve as a resource to local district staff to
> implement and expand secondary world languages and
> cultures instruction.
> •Design District-wide procedures for the
> evaluation of foreign student transcripts for the
> determination of language proficiency.
> •Work collaboratively with central office and
> Local District staff to plan, implement and
> monitor appropriate student assessments in world
> languages to determine language proficiency.
> •Knowledge of the requirements and eligibility
> issues regarding the UC/CSU A-G requirements. In
> particularly, the assessment regulations
> associated with the "E" requirement for Languages
> Other Than English.
> •Prepare documents, presentations and reports
> regarding the District's Foreign Languages
> programs, staffing, multimedia and textbook
> adoptions.
> •Other duties as assigned to support world
> languages and cultures programs.

> Minimum Requirements:
> (All minimum requirements must be met on or before
> filing deadline.  It is the responsibility of the
> applicant to ensure that documentation of minimum
> requirements is on file with the Human Resources
> Administrative Selection & Assignments Unit.)
> •At least eight years of successful certificated
> experience at the elementary or secondary level
> with no fewer than two years in a management
> position.
> •Completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in
> one or more foreign or world languages and
> cultures.
> •Multicultural and Master Plan requirements.
> •California Credential authorizing teaching of
> secondary foreign or world languages and cultures.
> •California Credential authorizing K-12
> Administrative Services.
> •Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout
