When it comes to language learning, Lucy Githinji vouches for the unnatural. Omni-Tech
Computer Services, a computer training company she runs, offers training in languages
using a software-assisted program that enables students to train themselves. Computer
Aided Language Learning, or Call, the software behind the magic, also enables learners to
communicate back and their progress is monitored by the computer.

"Like children, Call employs the concept of first seeing, listening and finally
repeating," explained Ms Githinji, Omni-Tech's programme director. "The learner is
immersed into a language much like the way young children learn the second language," she
says.
