"Building Bridges to the World" 
Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 23-24 February 2008

Call for Papers

The 4th Cambodian TESOL (CamTESOL) conference in Cambodia will take place on 23-24 
February 2008 at the National Institute of Education (NIE). The conference is designed 
to be practical and of direct benefit to practising teachers of English. The theme of 
the 2008 conference is "Building Bridges to the World". The conference series is 
conducted in English.

We now invite all Cambodians and non-Cambodians who are working in the field of 
English Language Teaching (ELT) or related areas, or have an interest in this field to 
submit an abstract for the 2008 conference on 23-24 February. Practising teachers of 
English are especially invited to participate. Abstracts are for a paper, workshop or 
poster session.

Deadline for Abstract Submission: 26 October 2007

All papers and workshops should relate to the fourteen streams of this conference: 
testing; program management; curriculum and materials development; methodology; 
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP); teaching 
speaking; teaching listening; teaching reading; teaching writing; independent 
learning; teaching young learners; using technology; motivation and; professional 
development. Abstracts must not exceed 150 words.

Abstracts will be selected and approved by an appointed committee. All successful 
presenters will be informed by 16 November. Full papers will then be required by 23 
February 2008.

IDP Education is supporting this initiative and is working with Cambodian teachers of 
English from a broad range of institutions to develop this conference series. For a
