US consulate to hold English workshop in north Bengal

Kolkata, June 22: The US Consulate in Kolkata has begun an initiative to teach 
English in several small towns in West Bengal and will hold a two-day workshop 
from Monday.

The workshop on English Language Teaching will be held in Balurghat in South 
Dinajpur district of north Bengal. 

Jennifer R. Crandall, a senior English Language Fellow who was formerly with 
the University of Denver in Colorado, will conduct the workshop. About 50 
teachers from different schools in the district are expected to attend, a 
statement from the American Center in Kolkata said.
