RV Vacation Means Teaching English

Glenn Woods and his wife Rose are not your typical snowbirds. They do spend 
every winter living in Mexico but they do not spend their time lounging on the 
beach. The pair spend two hours twice a week teaching English as a second 
language to students at La Casa de los Ninos, which translates as The Home of 
the Children. They also spend time on Friday afternoons teaching the Mexican 
teachers the proper pronunciation of English words. Woods says the teachers are 
very fast learners and within four weeks of teaching them, there was a huge 
improvement in the teachers’ English. “That’s the gem of our whole trip as far 
as I’m concerned,” he says.
