First Chinese textbooks for Thai schools 

The Ministries of Education in Thailand and China have joined to introduce the 
first Chinese language textbooks for use in Thai schools nationwide. 
 
In conjunction with the new textbooks, 600 volunteer Chinese-language teachers 
will be deployed to primary and secondary schools throughout the kingdom, 
including assignment to the violence-plagued southern region.
