The English as a Second Language program at the Univeristy
of Mississippi is seeking a full-time ESL instructor to
teach ESL classes at all levels as well as specialized
content-based courses. Instructors typically teach a total
of 12 hours per week using per-determined course syllabi and
texts.  

Qualifications/Skills 	
- A master's degree in TESOL or related field or the
equivalent teaching experience;
- Native or near-naative profeciency in English;
- Familiarity with current language teaching methodology;
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.  

Job Responsibilities 	
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessions;
- Designing and producing teaching materials and adapting
existing materials;
- Utilizing available technologies such as e-mail and
Blackboard
- Designing new conent-based elective courses;
- Carrying out assessments of students' needs and progress;
- Holding office hours (one hour per course taught);
- Keeping records
- Attending program meetings;
- Helping to develop and revise the program's curriculum;
- Engaging in continuing professional development;
- Helping with student orientation activities;
- Participating in one or more social activities with
students.
