Entrance exam criteria draw flak over lack of languages

 

The exclusion of foreign languages other than English from the draft university <http://www.bangkokpost.com/News/19Feb2008_news01.php>  entrance exam criteria has drawn strong opposition from foreign language teachers. 

 

If other foreign languages were excluded from the admission criteria, students would focus less on those subjects and this would result in the scrapping of foreign language courses at schools, said Khunying Wongchan Pinainitisastra, vice-chairwoman of the Association Thailandaise des Professeurs de Francais, yesterday.
