The first International Online Language Conference (IOLC 2008)

 

The first International Online Language Conference (IOLC 2008) invites professors, master and PhD students, and all academicians around the world to submit papers to this International event in the areas related to the conference theme. 
 

The conference will be held online. All the submitted papers will undergo blind-review process and selected papers will be considered for the conference proceedings and depending on their quality, for the partner journals too.

 

Some selected papers will also be chosen for online presentation. The online presentation takes place in the online collaboration center where all participants can meet virtually. This gives the participants the chance to enjoy all the benefits of taking part in a real high quality conference, while simply sitting back behind their computers and saving a lot of time and money. 
  

Conference Theme:
Language Teaching, Learning and Research: Initiating Change and Shaping the Future


All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceeding. Some high quality papers will also be considered for publication in refereed International journals depending on their quality. 
  

Conference Objectives:
* To provide a platform for language educators, academicians, and researchers from diverse cultural backgrounds to exchange ideas and best practices for effective language teaching and learning.

* To promote better understanding of cultural diversity in language learning.

* To encourage language educators to be involved in the research process, in order to achieve Comprehensive Excellence.

* To produce a collection of scholarly papers presented at the conference addressing the issue of globalization in language teaching and learning.


Conference Languages:
The official language for the conference is English.

Early Registration: April 15, 2008 
Abstract Submission: May 05, 2008
Authors' Notification: May 15, 2008 
Full Paper Submission: July 28, 2008
Normal Registration: August 28, 2008
Online Conference: September 15 & 16, 2008

Call for papers
A 200 to 300-word abstract is to be submitted by 5th May, 2008. Abstracts should be sent in the form of a word file attachment and must be emailed to iolc2008 at ioksp.com before the deadline. 

 

Notice 1: Notification of acceptance of your paper will be made within two weeks of your papers submission (Before May 15, 2008). This means, the sooner you submit your abstract, the sooner you will be notified about its review result and therefore you will have more time for preparing your full paper in case of acceptance. That's why we encourage you to submit your abstract as soon as possible. 

Notice 2: Submission of full paper must be made by July 28, 2008.
