Fulbright Scholar Program for US Faculty and Professionals is open for 2010-2011

 

The Fulbright Scholar Program is offering 29 lecturing, research or combined lecturing/research awards in TEFL or applied linguistics.  Even better, faculty and professionals in TEFL or applied linguistics also can apply for one of the 144 "All Discipline" awards open to all fields.

 

What does Fulbright offer in TEFL or applied linguistics?  Here are a few of the awards for 2010-2011:

 

Cote d'Ivoire - Award #0056 - American Studies or Teaching English as a Foreign Language

 

Philippines - Award #0173 - Global Issues - environmental studies,

human rights, civic education, peace studies and conflict transformation, governance and public administration, international economics, international business, international law,

English language development for international competitiveness, information and communication technology, international relations and transnational issues, urban and regional planning 

 

Chile - Award #0525 - TEFL and Applied Linguistics or Education

 

The application deadline for Fulbright traditional lecturing and research grants worldwide is August 1, 2009.  U.S. citizenship is required.
