English proficiency course for students

 

The State Institute of English Language Teaching will run a 50-day English proficiency course from January next year to impart basic skills for developing fluency in English. The course would be open for candidates who have completed intermediate or graduation in any discipline. 

Giving this information, the principal Skand Shukla said the basic purpose behind running the course is to develop fluency in English speaking among students who lack prior background in English. This would also enable them to compete with students who possess a sound background in English. Moreover, the candidates would also be taught about the usage of the English language for various purposes including drafting and speaking, he said.
