KVs say Guten Morgen, set to introduce German language course

 

After public schools, now government schools will also offer foreign language courses. A pilot project is underway at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Noida, where 85 students are learning their first alphabets in German. 

 

A proposal to teach foreign languages is also being considered at the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, the association's joint commissioner, Alok Verma, says. But Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti is reportedly the first central government institution to take the plunge. Barring Maharashtra, where junior colleges offer foreign language to students after Class X, no central government-run school teaches these subjects.
