International Delegates to Discuss Primary School English Language Assessment

The English at School 2009 event will this year play host to a long list of international delegates. Event organisers Cambridge ESOL, part of the University of Cambridge and the world's leading provider of language assessment, announced that the informative weekend event will involve multiple speakers from across the globe, presenting case studies on the use of English language assessment in compulsory education.

Presenters from Europe, Latin America, Russia and North Africa will outline the positive impact of assessment in the classroom and the successful integration of English language teaching into the primary curriculum.

Michael Milanovic, CEO at Cambridge ESOL explains: "The event's main goal is to bring together key global practitioners who are involved in policy design and the development of English in the compulsory education sector. It is an honour to welcome such a diverse range of industry experts; we have presenters from all corners of the globe attending this event. Participants will be able to explore and share knowledge, ideas and experience associated with all aspects of assessment and learning in the compulsory education sector." 

Held at the Møller Centre - part of Churchill College, Cambridge - the event runs from the 12th - 14th of June. Over the three days, delegates will be provided with the opportunity to engage with assessment experts and practitioners from across the globe. The calibre of international speakers attending English at School 2009 shows a greater level of importance being placed on the standard of English language teaching and testing in the primary education sector world wide.
